Allergies (food and/or environmental) and parasites (such as fleas) can be common skin disorders of your small animal companion. However, other skin and ear conditions can arise due to breed and/or genetics. In order to find the best way to treat skin conditions, a full history is taken, and diagnostics tests might be performed such as ear and skin culture, ear swabs, skin swabs, scrapings and biopsies. A treatment plan is then recommended.

For our environmental allergy patients, we offer blood allergy testing and environmental allergy desensitization, by mouth or injections, based on the blood results.
