Please be aware that there is an ongoing investigation into jerky treats causing illness and, in several cases, deaths in dogs in the United States and Canada.  Both the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association have received reports from veterinarians who are seeing such cases of illness amongst their patients.  The jerky in question, although labelled to suggest that they are produced in Canada or the United States, actually are produced in China.  Please note that, unlike the Federal Drug Agency in the United Sates,  the Canadian Food Inspection Agency does not regulate pet food.
